The research will focus on the study of polarons in ultracold atomic gases, with the aim of advancing our understanding of quantum materials' properties. The PhD scholarship will be available on a full-time basis for three years.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on polarons in ultracold atomic gases
- Develop novel theoretical tools to describe polarons
- Detect and measure polaron interactions in ultracold gases
- Characterise exotic quantum phases and properties of advanced materials via polaron spectrum
- Master or Honours degree in a relevant field
- Theoretical background in ultracold quantum gases and condensed matter physics
- Demonstrated experience in numerical simulations
- A valid working with children's check card (or ability to obtain prior to or upon commencement)
