The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality ultrasound procedures using specialized equipment to perform complex medical imaging examinations for clients across various clinical specialties.

The incumbent will work with a high level of professional independence, obtaining specialist ultrasound knowledge, contributing to developing professional knowledge of other radiographers, and contributing to professional ultrasound standards.

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will undertake routine research programs and may coordinate ultrasound quality assurance programs.

Qualifications
  • Possess an accredited postgraduate qualification in medical ultrasound.
  • Registered as an accredited medical sonographer as administered by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
