Work with a dynamic team of fitters

The role requires a trades assistant to provide support to the hydraulic and mechanical fitters. You will be responsible for planning and organizing materials, tools and resources required for works, operating within agreed standards and principles, assisting to service, repair, rebuild and maintain equipment, modifying truck and chassis as required to fit concrete pumps and boom, and other duties assigned by the leading hand and workshop manager.

  • Previous experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment is an advantage
  • Ability to diagnose and suggest appropriate action for any problems incurred
  • English speaking with good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Friendly, positive attitude
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and without supervision
  • Hydraulic or Mechanical experience will be looked upon favourably

Job Requirements:

Key Activities:
- Plan for and organise materials, tools and other resources required for works
- Operate within agreed standards and principles
- Assist to service works, repair, rebuild and maintain equipment
- Assist to Modify truck and chassis as required to fit concrete pumps and boom
- Other duties as may be required from time to time by the Leading Hand and/or Workshop Manager

Key Skills:
- Previous experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment is an advantage

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime pay and penalty rates.
