Assistant Portfolio Manager

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking an experienced Assistant Portfolio Manager to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Asset Management team, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of our clients' assets, ensuring they meet their investment objectives and remain within their mandates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of ETFs, ensuring they perform in line with their investment objectives and remain within their mandates.
  • Prepare daily reconciliations between front office systems and official valuations.
  • Identify and execute trades necessary for funds to meet their investment objectives, including index changes, cash flows, corporate actions, and currency hedging.
  • Monitor capital markets activities and assist with regular fund reporting requirements.
  • Develop front office tools and collaborate with portfolio administration, compliance, and other business functions.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a strong understanding of the investment process for ETFs.
  • 3-5 years of experience in asset management, index/portfolio trading desk, or a related field.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of financial products, strong analytical and numerical skills, and advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Strong risk management mindset and ability to seek innovative solutions to problems.
