We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead our projects team, driving the successful delivery of high-profile hard rock projects in Africa.

This senior leadership position will be based in Perth and will suit candidates with strong technical backgrounds and experience in successfully delivering EPCM projects in metals to high standards.

About the Role:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, providing clear direction, guidance, and support to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and take proactive measures to address any deviations from established targets.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide timely progress reports to Senior Management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovation and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and corporate policies.

About You:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • A proven track record within project management roles within the mining and mineral processing industry.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams at all levels, across different cultures.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in multicultural environments, preferably within international settings.
