We are seeking an experienced and skilled Surgical Veterinary Nurse to join our team at North Shore Veterinary Hospital. As a key member of our referral hospital team, you will be responsible for delivering high-end patient care and working closely with boarded Surgical Specialists to achieve exceptional standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a brand new, purpose-built hospital with the latest equipment and in an accessible location on Sydney's lower North Shore. You will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in advanced nursing care, including anaesthesia, computed tomography, fluoroscopy, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical nursing.

As a Surgical Veterinary Nurse at North Shore Veterinary Hospital, you will be part of a friendly and sociable team with a great support network within the VetPartners community. Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and adapt your clinical nursing skills to a surgically focused caseload.
  • Liaise with specialists and interns on delivering high-end patient care.
  • Use of Smart Flow system to assess and record patient vitals, identify and report abnormalities.
  • Work as an integral part of the team in contributing to and partaking in continuing professional development.

Essential Criteria

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Be willing to learn and develop advanced nursing skills.
  • Ability to work well within a close-knit team and adapt to changing work environments and schedules.
