Civil Engineering Programme Manager

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Programme Manager to lead and manage the delivery of a portfolio of strategic Bulk Earthworks and Civil projects. This is a pivotal role in shaping and establishing programme strategies, including execution planning for Sustaining Capital projects. You will provide guidance and ensure alignment between study leads and key stakeholders throughout the programme and sub-projects lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Programme Establishment: Develop a programme charter to define the strategy for delivering the programme that provides a consistent approach across all applicable RTIO Pilbara operations.
- Execution Planning: Support study leads with developing programme and project execution plans, for order of magnitude (OoM), pre-feasibility studies (PFS), feasibility studies (FS), implementation and commissioning phases.
- Programme Execution: Coordinate the roll out of the programme with a team of Study Leads and Engineers, delivering projects across RTIO Pilbara operations. Assess quality of study deliverables.
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships with site leaders, asset owners (e.g., PMO, SCS, OTS), and contracting partners.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage directly with Delivery Superintendents to ensure projects are adequately supported and resourced.
- Communication: Provide regular communication and reporting on programme metrics to key stakeholders.
- Strategic Sourcing: Engage with the Sustaining Capital Strategic Sourcing team to develop procurement and contracting strategies for the programme and regularly review the sourcing strategy for projects in the programme.
- Schedule and Risk Management: Manage the programme master schedule and risk register, providing updates on changes to the pipeline of works.
- Improvement: Support the improvement of the project delivery systems, processes and procedures ensuring that they are standardised and embedded across the team.
- Lessons Learned: Manage lessons learned across the programme, ensuring effective communication of successes and proposed improvements.
- Team Leadership: Support Study Leads, coordinating efforts between the projects and providing high-level guidance to identify project issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee the development and control of deadlines, budgets, and activities.
