The OpportunityWe are seeking a Commercial Analyst / Management Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will partner with our Digital Technology Group and Customer Engagement Group, providing strategic commercial and financial support and advice to drive organizational performance. The role will also support the broader commercial team to deliver key pieces of work.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic commercial and financial support and advice to drive organizational performance.
- Support monthly management accounting, financial performance reporting, and analysis activities.
- Prepare financial reports with insights, analysis, and commentary based on stakeholder needs and requirements.
- Support preparation of business cases, new initiatives, commercial negotiations, and tenders.
- Support financial analysis to drive operational performance and deliver commercial outcomes.
- Support significant procurement or commercial activities.
- Support and uphold the standards of data governance and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data in the Financial Information Management System (FIMS).
- Develop business cases/plans and strategies, including financial modeling, cost optimization, and efficiency plans.
We are looking for a commercial management accountant with a background in large, complex businesses. The ideal candidate will have well-developed communication skills, a can-do attitude, and a naturally curious nature. They will be able to query assumptions, interrogate/analyze financial data, and see through problems from start to finish. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, as well as membership to CA or CPA, are required.
