About Our Client

Our client has been dedicated to enhancing Australia's national security since 1985. As a cornerstone of the Royal Australian Navy's submarine capability, they are committed to fortifying Australia's sovereign defence industrial base.

Recently appointed by the Australian Government as the Sovereign Sustainment Partner for nuclear-powered submarines, they hold the prime contract for sustaining visiting US and UK submarines, as well as Australia's future nuclear-powered submarine fleet.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Special Class Welder and Pipefitter/Boilermaker, you will be responsible for operational planned maintenance and defect repairs on submarines for government defence projects. Ideal candidates should hold a Trade Certificate and have experience in stainless pipe welding or exotic pipefitting and fabrication.

Maritime experience is preferred, and the position operates on a 9-day fortnight (Week 1: Mon-Fri, Week 2: Mon-Thurs) with flexibility to work across two locations: Henderson and Garden Island.

  • Confined Space Ticket and White Card
  • Covid19 Vaccinated
  • Able to Pass a Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
  • Australian Citizenship
