Job Overview

This role requires a hands-on individual to work on operational assets and contribute to the water future in Western Australia.

Main Responsibilities
  • Promote safety as a standard in all work practices, ensuring a safe working environment for everyone.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between operations and maintenance teams by adapting to changes that improve efficiency.
  • Deliver excellent service by meeting customer expectations while upholding company values.
  • Fabricate and repair treatment and resource recovery assets using design standards or contributing to the Safety in Design process.
  • Maintain equipment and machinery in good working order, adhering to engineering and legal standards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance safety and efficiency and communicate these to the Team Leader.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Fabrication/Welding Trade qualification with experience in repairing metal cement-lined water pipes and associated equipment within the water industry.
  • Fabrication of structural and pressurized services from design drawings, including handrailing, pipework, and gates.
  • Aluminium and stainless-steel fabrication/welding, including sheet metal work.
  • Producing drawings to initiate the Safety in Design process prior to fabrication.
  • Compliance with welding procedures and submitting test pieces to remain current.
Requirements
  • Current LR driver's license.
  • Relevant High-Risk Licenses (Forklift, Dogman, Elevated Work Platform).
  • Nationally recognized training in Confined Space and Working at Heights.
  • Minimum of 2 years of trade experience.
