Job Description

In this dynamic and multifaceted role as Financial Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and communicating financial information to Program Managers, including internal and external reporting, budget preparation, and financial analysis. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contribution to the preparation of annual statutory reporting and year-end compliance reporting
  • Preparation of periodic and ad-hoc financial and non-financial information for the Executive Management Team, Program Managers, and regulatory bodies
  • Analytical review of financial performance and expected service outcomes across various programs and services

You will work closely with the Finance Reporting Manager to ensure accurate and timely reporting, maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution or university
  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia or CPA Australia
  • Technical skills and experience in management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Investigative and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret and analyse financial information
  • Advanced Excel skills, with a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a not-for-profit sector
