At Gold Fields, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Tradesperson to join our Mill Maintenance team at Granny Smith.

Reporting to the Coordinator: Mechanical (Fixed), the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering quality and timely preventative maintenance and repairs of the processing department and other areas of the operation.

We are looking for a skilled Tradesperson who is passionate about ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by practicing preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures
  • Completing all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping throughout the maintenance workshops

You will have:

  • Previous experience in fixed plant maintenance within a processing plant operation
  • Mechanical trade qualifications
  • A sound understanding of machinery and care of fixed plant equipment
  • A valid C Class vehicle license as well as CN crane, dogging, Rigger basic EWP and Forklift tickets
