About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our MQ-28 Ghost Bat Mission Systems team at Boeing Defence Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions for our autonomous collaborative combat aircraft.

With a strong background in software development and a passion for problem-solving, you will work closely with our team to design, develop, and test software systems that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software systems for the MQ-28 Ghost Bat aircraft
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software systems with hardware components
  • Develop and maintain software test plans and procedures
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Work with the team to identify and resolve software issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Software/Mechatronics), Computer Science, or Information Technology
  • Experience with object-oriented design practices and familiarity with C++ and Python
  • Knowledge of Linux software development environments
  • Ability to respond to high-level guidance to create a minimum viable product
  • Passion for problem-solving and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
