Boral Asphalt Project Engineer Role Overview

At Boral Asphalt, we are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team based in Seven Hills. Reporting to the Contracting Manager – Asphalt, this role involves effectively managing and coordinating asphalt projects, ensuring construction meets standards and legislation, minimising risk, and delivering performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to meet project milestones.
  • Liaising with Contractors: Work closely with contracting teams and site personnel to deliver performance outcomes, ensuring effective application of contract terms.
  • Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Monitor and manage supplier and subcontractor performance to maximise value and meet project requirements.
  • Engineering Support: Provide technical support to management as required, ensuring project delivery aligns with engineering standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven Experience: Possess similar experience in civil roles, with a strong understanding of project management methodology.
  • Contractor Management: Demonstrate contractor management experience, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and deliver results.
  • Organisational Skills: Showcase strong organisational skills, with the ability to lead and influence people, develop effective working relationships, and drive project outcomes.
  • Technical Skills: Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Project management software.
