Home Support Assistant Role

About the Position:

We are committed to providing high-quality support services to our Veterans through the Home Care Program.

This role involves assisting these clients in their own homes with light domestic tasks, promoting their independence and well-being.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with laundry and ironing
  • Preparing meals and snacks
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy living environment
  • Accompanying clients on outings and activities
  • Providing personal care and support as needed

Requirements:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or domestic support role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (optional)

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

The following skills and qualifications would be highly regarded:

  • Experience working with older adults or people with disabilities
  • First aid or emergency response training
  • Language proficiency in multiple languages
