Delivering Innovative Care and Companionship

Located in a peaceful rural setting, our aged care home is a close-knit community of 84 residents. We are seeking a Wellness Officer to provide personalized care and companionship to residents, delivering tailored leisure and lifestyle activities that cater to their needs, interests and capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct staff with the planning of the program of activities, collaborating with team members, residents and caregivers.
  • Ensure all residents participate in an activity program of interest and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Confirm activities program with Manager, including details on residents involved, timetable and resources organized.
  • Evaluate activities, daily activity participation sheets and other paperwork, reflecting continuous improvement.
  • Develop activities taking into account previous interests and current capabilities, enhancing quality of life through hobbies.

About You:

  • We're looking for previous experience in aged/community care or Lifestyle program in Aged Care, but if you're qualified and starting out, we'd love to hear from you.
  • You'll need to be resilient and resourceful, living our values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness every day.
  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or equivalent qualifications or demonstrated competency in the knowledge required for this role.
