Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor

The University of Melbourne is seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to fill the position of Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy. As a key member of the Melbourne School of Health Sciences, you will contribute to the academic teaching, research, and leadership in the discipline of Physiotherapy.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the academic and administrative aspects of the Doctor of Physiotherapy program, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards.
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum designs, incorporating contemporary pedagogical knowledge and insights.
- Lead the development of education materials, resources, and assessments, ensuring high-quality student learning experiences.
- Provide lectures, tutorials, and coordination of specific subjects within the Doctor of Physiotherapy program.
- Engage in academic education, including curriculum evaluation, and contribute to a culture of active education and/or clinical research.
- Guide and monitor students on professional codes of conduct, standards, and behaviors.
- PhD or equivalent, or higher academic qualification in health professional education.
- Current full registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Strong track record of academic engagement, including course coordination, student assessment, and curriculum development.
- Demonstrated significant contributions to curriculum innovation and evaluation, alongside research activity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive and cohesive teams.
- High level of productivity, initiative, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
