Established as a leading figure in the Australian radio landscape, we are seeking an exceptional General Manager to oversee the successful operation of Power FM & 5MU in the Murraylands, South Coast, and Adelaide Hills market.

The Role:

This is a dynamic leadership opportunity for an experienced professional to drive the growth and profitability of our local stations. As General Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the market plan, ensuring revenue targets are met, and fostering a high-performing team environment.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the market Plan on a Page (POAP), aligned with company objectives.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the market Profit and Loss statement, ensuring profitable operations and revenue growth.
  • National Advertising: Collaborate with national teams to increase revenue share through strategic initiatives.

Promoting Excellence:

You will provide day-to-day leadership, ensuring team goals align with the POAP, and performance is effectively managed. This includes creating a positive work environment, adhering to our Culture in Action, and promoting WH&S best practices.

  • Team Development: Foster a great place to work by embodying our organisational culture.
  • Safety and Well-being: Promote a safe working environment through active engagement with our WH&S system.

Leadership in Local Content and Promotions:

Collaborate with programming teams to maximise local content and develop a strong promotional calendar that resonates with our community.

  • Promotional Strategy: Drive a compelling promotional calendar that fosters connections with our community.

Process Adoption and Commercial Code Compliance:

Lead the adoption of ARN's company processes and ensure adherence to the Commercial Radio Code of Practice.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Business Leadership: Experience managing small to medium-sized businesses or functional teams within the radio and media industries.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business planning, growth strategies, and financial management.
  • Media Landscape Knowledge: Familiarity with the Australian media landscape, including radio, audio, digital, and other competing platforms.
  • Commercial Code Awareness: Understanding of the Commercial Radio Code of Practice.
  • Financial Literacy: Basic knowledge of financial concepts, including profit and loss statements.
