Key Responsibilities- Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor environmental consultants to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Strategic Advisor: Provide expert guidance to clients on environmental regulations, compliance, and best practices.
- Conduct Assessments: Carry out thorough environmental impact assessments to identify risks and recommend effective mitigation measures.
- Develop Solutions: Create and implement innovative sustainable environmental management plans and strategies.
- Build Relationships: Establish strong connections with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Stay Ahead: Keep abreast of environmental trends, policies, and regulations to inform decision-making and drive success.
- Bachelor's degree in Marine/Environmental Science, or other relevant area of study.
- More than 10 years' relevant experience in environmental consulting, focusing on complex project management.
- Expertise in environmental impact assessments and compliance with Australian legislation.
- Strong project management skills to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Natural leadership with experience in mentoring and motivating teams.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Environmental Practitioner) are highly regarded.
- Post-graduate degree (Honours, Masters, PhD) in relevant field.
- Experience working within the scientific, engineering or resources sector.
- Post-graduate qualifications in environmental management or other relevant area of study.
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork in remote areas.
- Demonstrated business development skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
