Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at a regional referral facility hospital in South-Western New South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality obstetric and gynaecological services, including antenatal and intrapartum care, procedural obstetrics, and gynaecological surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Antenatal and Intrapartum Care: Provide comprehensive antenatal and intrapartum care to patients, including routine check-ups, high-risk pregnancy management, and labour support.
  • Procedural Obstetrics: Perform assisted deliveries and caesarean procedures, as well as manage obstetric emergencies.
  • Gynaecological Surgery: Conduct gynaecological surgeries, including hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and other related surgeries.
  • Training and Education: Facilitate and endorse training for clinicians, aiming for high-quality education and secure clinical practices.
  • On-Call Roster: Participate in an on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways recognised by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the role delineation of the service with substantial experience in gynaecological surgery.
