Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to lead our company's Employee Relations efforts. This role will focus on developing and implementing Employee Relations frameworks, processes, and practices to ensure compliance and guide complex ER matters.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, including the People and Talent team, and people leaders, to ensure seamless execution of Employee Relations activities. They will also be responsible for managing high-risk cases, performing investigations, and representing the Company at mediation hearings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Employee Relations frameworks, processes, and practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address Employee Relations cases and provide guidance.
  • Lead high-risk cases and perform investigations as needed.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for high-risk cases.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Represent the Company at mediation hearings and interact with external parties.
  • Manage case notes and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in Employee Relations, preferably in complex/matrix environments.
  • Degree qualified in IR, HR, or Law.
  • Trained ER investigator with consulting and in-house experience.
  • Familiarity with Fair Work rulings and ability to translate requirements into frameworks.
  • Experience building ER business capability in a scale-up environment (desirable).
