About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at the Northshore Mineral Sand Plant in Bunbury, working on a permanent basis with a 9-day fortnight roster.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Removal, installation, maintenance, and overhaul of rotating equipment, pumps, piping, compressors, elevators, and conveyor equipment.
  • Identification and reporting of defects, suggesting improvements to existing plant equipment, methods, and procedures.
  • Proactive approach to preventative maintenance and high-standard workmanship during breakdowns.
  • Completion of documentation to ensure accurate information is entered into Tronox's Maintenance Systems.
  • Fostering a positive safety culture, identifying hazards, and reporting incidents.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Assisting operators, preparing, and isolating equipment, recording process information, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate - Fitting (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Mechanical Maintainer role, including experience with Process Plants, Pumps, Structural, Mechanical, and Piping works within the Mining industry (highly desired)
  • Current C Class Drivers' Licence unrestricted (essential)
  • Experience in fault finding and repairs to hydraulic systems.
  • Team-oriented approach and ability to work independently if required.
  • Solid decision-making skills and commitment to safety.
