Primary Classroom Teacher Role

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Classroom Teacher to deliver high-quality education to students from Foundation to Year 6.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Delivery - Designing and implementing effective lesson plans, utilising diverse teaching strategies to engage students.
  • Curriculum Design - Collaborating with support staff to address the needs of diverse learners and ensuring curriculum relevance.
  • Technology Integration - Leveraging technology to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Lesson Planning and Organisation - Ensuring timely completion of lesson plans and maintaining a well-organised curriculum for students.
  • Student Progress Assessment - Conducting regular assessments and providing meaningful feedback on student progress, as required.
  • Reporting and Communication - Writing academic reports according to guidelines and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
  • Learning Material Development - Creating and assessing educational materials, recommending implementation to subject coordinators.
  • Co-curricular Engagement - Participating in co-curricular programs as needed.
  • Administrative Responsibilities - Maintaining accurate student attendance records, managing equipment and first aid supplies, and exercising duty of care through professional supervision.
  • Professional Development - Engaging in ongoing professional development to maintain teaching excellence.
  • Confidentiality and Attendance - Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to College policies regarding staff meetings and attendance.
