Job Title: Senior Associate

Defend Claims with Excellence

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Associate to join our General Insurance practice, based in Melbourne. In this role, you will play a crucial part in defending claims against professionals, including those in the construction industry, financial services, and legal sector.

As a Senior Associate, your primary focus will be on managing your own files, with guidance from our experienced partners. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic client interaction;
  • Collaboration with a team of lawyers;
  • Reviewing documents and preparing evidence;
  • Drafting correspondence to the Court and third parties;
  • Conferencing with witnesses and preparing witness statements;
  • Preparing briefs for counsel;
  • Drafting Court documents and attending hearings;
  • Providing client advice; and
  • Drafting letters of instruction to experts.

About You

For this position, we are looking for individuals with at least five years' PQE experience in general insurance law. Your expertise in professional indemnity matters, as well as your ability to manage files effectively and run matters through court proceedings, is highly valued.
