Procurement Specialist Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced procurement specialist to join our defence team in Melbourne.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, with specific experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and must hold a current NV1 security clearance.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes in compliance with defence procurement policies and regulations.
- Coordinate and execute Foreign Military Sales (FMS) transactions, ensuring adherence to international trade compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
- Monitor and report on procurement activities, budgets, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, preferably within the defence sector.
- Proven experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) processes and regulations.
- Strong understanding of defence procurement frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
As a Major Service Provider of the Australian Defence Force, an AGSVA security clearance will be required and compliance to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
