Job Title: Swimming Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Swimming Teacher to join our team at the Burpengary Regional Aquatic & Leisure Centre.

About the Role

As a Swimming Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering effective swimming and water safety lessons to students of all ages and abilities. You will work closely with our team to create a fun and supportive learning environment that promotes water safety and confidence in the water.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students, including children and adults, and will be required to adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of each individual. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of student progress and providing feedback to parents and guardians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality swimming and water safety lessons to students of all ages and abilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of each student
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their swimming skills
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians
  • Work collaboratively with the team to create a fun and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • Current AustSwim Certificate – Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
  • Blue card
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
