Boilermaker/Welder/Fitter

Hanson Australia is a leading manufacturer of building materials with a strong presence in Australia. We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker/Welder/Fitter to join our team at our Red Hill Quarry in Western Australia.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced professional to inspect, monitor, and maintain fixed plant equipment at our Red Hill Quarry. This is a challenging role that requires a strong understanding of heavy industry maintenance and a commitment to ensuring the safe operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineered maintenance solutions to fixed plant equipment using relevant skills and knowledge.
• Conduct routine inspections of chutes and feeders to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
• Enter and work in confined spaces to perform maintenance tasks.
• Work at heights to access and maintain plant equipment.
• Monitor hot work fire watch to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with general metal work, including cutting, grinding, and drilling.
• Support plant housekeeping and clean up to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Conduct risk assessments for tasks being undertaken, including rescue and lift plans.

Requirements:

• Experience in heavy industry maintenance, preferably in mining or a related field.
• Trade qualification or equivalent experience.
• WAH, LF, and First Aid tickets.
• EWP, CN, and Dogging/Rigging tickets an advantage.
