**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Project Development Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical part in delivering complex capital projects that support the delivery of water supply, sewerage treatment, and drainage services.

Your responsibilities will include formulating contract delivery strategies, managing project tendering, evaluation, and award determination. You will also collaborate closely with principal contractors to ensure construction sites are safe and operations run efficiently according to the delivery program.

The ideal candidate will possess leadership experience, strong project management skills, and expertise in design, construction, and project management of large-scale projects. They will also have demonstrated experience across the entire project lifecycle, encompassing initiation, planning, execution, and closure.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement effective contract delivery strategies to meet project objectives.
  • Manage project tendering, evaluation, and award determination processes to ensure best value for money.
  • Collaborate with principal contractors to ensure safe working practices and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and report on project risks, including finance and schedules, to stakeholders.

**Requirements**

  • Possess tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience showcasing proficiency in large capital program delivery.
  • Leadership experience with ability to influence across teams.
  • Significant experience in managing a team of project managers to achieve desired outcomes and goals.
  • Strong project management skills, including change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Expertise in design, construction, and project management of large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated experience across the entire project lifecycle, encompassing initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
