Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Lifting Equipment Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the assembly, fitting, and precision fabrication of lifting equipment and machinery. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with machinery and metal parts, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and assemble metal parts and sub-assemblies for production machines and lifting equipment, adhering to precise technical specifications.
- Review detailed technical drawings and specifications to determine suitable materials and methods for assembly.
- Set up and operate various machining tools, including cutting, grinding, and shaping machines, presses, and dies.
- Adjust machine controls and set stops, guides, and other components for accurate operations.
- Perform complex machining operations, including drilling, boring, and forming metal stock and castings to tight tolerances.
- Install and connect hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines, ensuring proper assembly and functionality.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Mechanical Engineer role, preferably in a lifting equipment industry.
- Trade Certificate III in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
- A valid Driver's License for travel between work sites.
