Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Db2 application DBA to maintain our database environment on the z/OS platform. This role requires extensive experience in database design, problem analysis, and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Db2 application database environment on the z/OS platform.
  • Manage the architecture of Db2 database (structure, schema, data, performance, integrity, backup, recovery, etc.).
  • Perform problem analysis, root cause analysis and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Work closely with the application developers to deploy and implement Db2 changes.
  • Implement Mainframe Db2 database changes, including after hours.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 10 years experience in a Db2 application DBA role.
  • A high level of problem determination skills.
  • Experience with Db2 Data Sharing.
  • Experience with application performance and tuning.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
