About the Role

Patient service specialists play a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience from initial contact to discharge.

This position involves working between two outpatient physical therapy centers in Scottsdale, Arizona.

We are seeking a flexible and adaptable individual who can effectively manage both patient-facing and business operations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to interact seamlessly with patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and register patients, provide information about their visit, and schedule appointments efficiently.
  • Maintain regular communication with attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, operational leaders, and business development teams.
  • Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance verifications.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of medical office experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout the workday.
  • Manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely using proper body mechanics.
  • Ability to carry office supplies weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written instructions.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
