Mechanical Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing equipment within the PPA product portfolio to meet client requirements while improving profitability.
- You will work closely with commercial and sales teams during the bidding phase of projects and collaborate with engineers and operations on project execution.
- Provide technical guidance on product developments within the product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment and implement 5S principles.
- Meet customer satisfaction goals for timely delivery and quality standards.
- Design systems to achieve the lowest Total Cost of Ownership.
- Ownership of product sustaining requirements for all Process Analytics products.
- Develop and implement solutions to product issues working with internal teams and suppliers.
- Keep up to date with current industry standard methodology.
- Provide product expertise to meet the objectives of the Engineering Project Team.
- Provide advice to the wider organisation as a recognised SME.
- Support the operations team in above activities to meet lead time, quality and other targets.
Requirements:
- Degree qualification in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a related engineering role.
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience working to engineering and AS/ISO standards.
- Ability to read and understand engineering plant drawings and P&ID diagrams.
- Presentation and communication skills to develop high levels of credibility with customers.
- Self-motivated and committed with an ability to run schedules and maintain critical timelines.
