We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Childcare Specialist to join our team in Geraldton. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in creating a secure and nurturing home environment for children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.

• Promote and assist young people to achieve goals identified in Individual Case Plans.
• Assist young people to develop independence and build community networks.
• Support the young person's interests and establish a rapport with them.
• Collaborate effectively with young people to achieve positive outcomes and manage behavioural escalations.
• Domestic duties and supporting the young person to learn how to look after themselves.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Certificate IV in Youth Work, Mental Health, or relevant qualification (or willing to obtain).
• Experience working with young people who have experienced significant trauma and neglect.
• Highly effective interpersonal skills with young people and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate confidentiality and strong understanding of professional boundaries.
• Experience working with young people from indigenous or other cultural backgrounds.
