Apprentice Body Repair Spray Painter Role

This hands-on role involves delivering exceptional service to customers. You will be part of a team that provides high-quality work on electric vehicles, working closely with experienced technicians to develop your skills.

The 4-year apprenticeship program includes intensive EV and body repair training, ensuring you gain the necessary qualifications for a successful career in this field.

You will learn how to prepare, restore, and finish vehicle surfaces, developing a range of skills that can be applied to various jobs, from repairing damaged paintwork to adding cosmetic enhancements.

The training combines practical experience in our state-of-the-art facilities with eLearning, allowing you to complete theory elements at your own pace.

You will have access to videos, interactive simulations, and theory assessments, which can be easily accessed anytime and from any device.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily goals
  • Complete specific training provided by Tesla
  • Develop knowledge of all Tesla products, body repair systems, processes, and procedures
  • Maintain the workshop environment
  • Record time, expenses, and materials used
  • Perform basic body repair and paint work under supervision
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and the workshop area
About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has completed Year 12 education
  • Is eligible for MITO training
  • Holds a valid driver's license
  • Speaks fluent English
  • Has technical aptitude – an interest in electronics and technology
  • Displays excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and time management
  • Can learn on the job, work efficiently, and follow instructions
  • Handles shifting priorities and meets deadlines
  • Is energetic and enthusiastic with a team-player attitude
