Excavation Plant Operator

We are seeking an experienced Excavation Plant Operator to join our team.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that involves operating excavation equipment, backhoes, and other heavy machinery to construct and maintain roads, drainage infrastructure, and other civil projects.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a strong commitment to safety and quality.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Operating excavators, backhoes, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assisting in setting up works, establishing line and level from reference points, and checking accuracy during projects.
- Working around underground and overhead services while adhering to utility providers' duty of care.
- Utilizing attachments like laser levelling equipment for trenching and drainage.
- Delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A SafeWork Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card).
- A Class MR Driver Licence.
- Nationally accredited certificates for LE – Excavator, Work Near Overhead Powerlines, Traffic Controller, Implement Traffic Control Plans, and High Risk Licence for DG – Dogging.
