We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Fortescue Contractor Management Framework, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across our operations.
- This includes providing coaching and support to employees and contractors to drive compliance with HSES standards.
- The specialist will also develop and manage business systems used by contractor management, deliver a robust second-line assurance program, conduct pre-qualifications assessments, and monitor processes to ensure alignment with relevant health and safety legislation.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Lead Auditor Qualification in WHS Management Systems.
- Hands-on experience in high-risk industries such as construction, mining, logistics, manufacturing, or processing.
- A deep understanding of the WHS Act, relevant standards, and applicable codes of practice.
- Demonstrated ability in developing, implementing, and auditing health and safety management systems.
- Proven track record of managing contractor HSES performance and delivering against KPIs.
