Job Title

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Northbridge location. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to cleaning, food preparation, presentation, and food service procedures and standards
  • Follow directions from the cook regarding portion control, cooking standards, and wastage
  • Prepare meals according to menu requirements
  • Serve meals efficiently in an organized way at the stipulated times
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, equipment is washed and stored correctly in accordance with hygiene standards
  • Maintain correct storage of food items
  • Adhere to the food safety plan including monitoring of food temperatures
  • Delivery of food items to meet external catering requests
  • Additional duties as directed

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, their safe use, and management
  • The ability to undertake basic manual duties
  • A Current WA driver's License
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police Check and Enitlement to work in Australia check
  • Experience in kitchen work as an assistant or kitchenhand capacity
  • Knowledge of OSH principles and practices
  • Certificate level qualification in food hygiene or equivalent desired
