The Clinical Genomics Laboratory conducts cutting-edge research to improve care for families affected by genetic cardiovascular diseases. These diseases often have underlying genetic causes, and despite decades of research, significant gaps in knowledge remain.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to multiple ongoing research projects, including NSW Hearts and the Elusive Hearts Study. Key responsibilities include contributing to gene discovery efforts, recruitment activities, and collaborating with national and international researchers to address key questions.

**Key Responsibilities**: Contribute to existing studies, initiate new projects, mentor laboratory staff and students, participate in administrative tasks, and present research at national and international conferences.

**Requirements**: A PhD or MD in a relevant field, extensive experience in clinical genomics research, familiarity with cardiovascular genetics, and expertise in genetic test interpretation are highly desirable.
