About the Role

Water and wastewater treatment plants require skilled professionals to ensure efficient operation. We are seeking a Senior Water and Waste Water Operator to oversee the daily activities of these facilities.

This position involves managing water quality, maintaining equipment, and optimizing plant performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in water and waste water treatment operations and a strong understanding of mechanical equipment and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate and Maintain Treatment Plants: Ensure that all treatment processes are functioning within established parameters.
  2. Monitor Plant Operations: Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  3. Conduct Quality Sampling: Collect and analyze water samples to determine their quality and safety.
  4. Maintenance Duties: Perform routine and reactive maintenance tasks to maintain the integrity of equipment and infrastructure.
  5. Liaise with Contractors: Supervise contractors as required and manage relationships with external service providers.
  6. Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, tools, and equipment.
  7. Risk-Based Approach: Implement a risk-based approach to operations and maintenance to minimize potential hazards.
  8. Reporting: Generate regular reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated Knowledge: Proven experience in water and waste water treatment operations.
  • Certification: Hold a Cert III in water and waste water operations.
  • Understanding of Equipment: Possess a strong understanding of mechanical equipment and safety/environmental issues.
