Job Summary

The Quality Inspector is the focal point for inspection activities from receipt to in-process and final release of product managed by Subsea Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect Subsea equipment to ensure compliance with Baker Hughes and customer requirements.
  • Complete and verify inspection activities at all stages of the process.
  • Witness and verify acceptance testing, reviewing results for compliance.
  • Record and report inspection activities, identifying and quarantining non-conforming product.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, service shops, and quality teams to drive excellence in product quality.
  • Assist with production of reports, manufacturer's databooks, and certificates of conformance.
  • Review and approve Qualified Vendor Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, and Completed Quality Certificates.
  • Support regulatory compliance of QMS and ensure safe practices in accordance with governmental regulations.

Requirements
  • Metal &/or Engineering Trade Certificate.
  • Additional Formal Quality Qualifications desirable (e.g. NDT, Welding, Coating etc).
  • Min. 5 years industry &/or Inspection experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of inspection and metrology techniques and processes.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of current industry standards.
  • Detailed knowledge of requirements associated with the control of monitoring and measuring devices.
  • Experienced and familiar with the requirements of formal Quality Management Systems and standards, such as ISO 9001:2008 and API Q1/Q2/6A.
