Job Description

As a Village Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the gardens and grounds of our retirement village. Your duties will include cleaning, gardening, and completing all associated tasks.

  • Maintaining the garden areas, including planting, pruning, and weeding.
  • Cleaning and disposing of waste.
  • Assisting with driving the retirement village bus as required.
  • Working collaboratively with a small team of groundkeepers.
  • Providing guidance and supervision as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Planning, scheduling, and executing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual gardening and cleaning tasks.
  • Assisting with long-term landscaping and maintenance planning.
  • Representing the village with professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent experience. A current and valid driver's license is also required. Previous experience in a retirement living or aged care environment is desirable but not necessary.
