About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Assistant to assist skilled tradespeople and machine operators on projects across the Illawarra.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Clear sites and set up safety barriers to prepare them for construction. This will involve working outdoors in various weather conditions and ensuring all necessary permits and approvals are in place.
  • Manual Labour: Perform physical tasks such as digging trenches, shoveling materials, and loading/unloading tools and equipment. You will need to work efficiently and safely to meet project deadlines.
  • Equipment Operation: Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently. This may include operating machinery such as excavators and forklifts.
Requirements
  • A valid White Card (General Construction Induction) is essential. A driver's license is also required for site visits.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. We are happy to provide training and support to the right candidate.
  • Punctuality and a positive attitude are necessary for success in this role.
