About the Role

As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will play a key leadership role in our commercial management team. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in construction and a collaborative mindset to lead end-to-end commercial management of large subcontracts, develop procurement strategies, and provide guidance to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead commercial management of large subcontracts and self-performed works, ensuring timely completion and maximum profitability.
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies, engaging subcontractors and managing relationships.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior commercial staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and stay up-to-date with market trends and developments.
  • Support head contract administration and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely information.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, or Commerce, demonstrating a solid foundation in commercial principles.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record of success in commercial management.
  • Experience in all stages of subcontract management, from tendering to project close-out.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A current C-Class Driver's Licence, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
