The Opportunity Overview

This is an exciting chance to lead and conduct analyses of clinical data, strategically informing reimbursement submissions to PBAC/MSAC. The focus is on demonstrating the value of innovative medicines to payers across various therapeutic areas.

  • Planning and performing analyses using raw patient level and published clinical data with standard statistical software packages to inform development of reimbursement strategies, submissions, and feasibility assessment for pipeline products
  • Authoring and input into reimbursement submissions to PBAC/MSAC
  • Contributing to understanding evidence gaps and the development, analysis, and interpretation of real-world data generation activities
  • Providing education and training to colleagues on statistical concepts and methods
  • Collaborating with internal regional and global stakeholders, including market access, real-world evidence, and statistical groups, as needed, to stay up-to-date on relevant data-related activities and analyses to leverage locally and optimize planning and conduct of local analyses
Key Responsibilities
  1. Utilize biostatistics expertise to positively impact access to medicine in Australia that will save and improve lives
  2. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Health Economics, you will be part of an exciting, fast-paced, and high-profile team to lead, advise, and be the go-to person on all statistical matters to the Health Economics and Outcomes Research team and business partners
Qualifications and Skills

A postgraduate qualification in Statistics, Mathematics, Life Science (e.g., public health or epidemiology), Medical, or related field is required.

  • Related industry experience, especially in the Pharmaceutical industry (including CRO or consulting) or biostatistics experience in academia or government, is preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced ability to plan, analyze, interpret, and communicate medical and scientific data
