Job Title: Vocational Services Manager
About the RoleThe Vocational Services Manager is a senior management position responsible for overseeing the delivery of various prisoner services at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre. The role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and staff management to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Vocational Services portfolio, including education, prisoner employment, kitchen/food/laundry services, horticulture/grounds, and industry operations.
- Provide specialist advice and assistance to management on business planning, quality assurance systems, and staff performance monitoring.
- Actively promote and participate in working parties, assisting with the preparation of submissions and reports.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in managing general business operations and an understanding of vocational training and adult basic education.
- Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance operations, including ISO principles, occupational health & safety practices.
A relevant qualification in management, leadership, and/or industry-specific trade, and/or commensurate experience would be highly regarded.
