We are seeking a highly skilled Chef to deliver exceptional culinary experiences and lead our kitchen team with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute menus that exceed customer expectations, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Promote innovation in menu development, specials, and inventory control to optimize profitability.
- Effectively manage stock levels, minimize waste, and maintain high gross profit margins.
- E nsure compliance with rigorous food safety and workplace health and safety standards.
- Foster a culture of excellence by training, leading, and supervising cooks, apprentices, and kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to best practices for kitchen efficiency.
About You (Essential Qualifications):
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant kitchen.
- Proven expertise in knife skills, section management, and service coordination under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, allergen management, and relevant legislation.
- A strong team player with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Availability for rotating rosters, weekends, and public holidays.
