Science-Based Weather and Climate Solutions Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to take on the challenge of leading the Bureau of Meteorology as Director of Meteorology and Chief Executive Officer. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Australians by providing trusted, reliable and responsive weather, water, climate, ocean and space weather services.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of strategic leadership, management and operational service delivery in a complex, technology intensive, geographically distributed, science-based organisation. They will also have excellent change management skills, with the ability to effectively apply complex science and technology to deliver outcomes for customers, partners and stakeholders.
As Director of Meteorology and Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for leading the Bureau to meet the evolving needs of the Australian community. You will work closely with local communities, national and international stakeholders, and other government agencies to ensure that the Bureau's services are aligned with the needs of the community.
This role requires a high level of professionalism, integrity and emotional intelligence. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and results-driven individual who is passionate about delivering impact and value through the application of services enabled by world leading science and technology.
