**Job Opportunity:** Training Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to support apprentices, trainees, employers, and training organisations across the region to access and succeed in vocational education and training (VET) programs.

The successful candidate will engage with industry and communities, promote education and employment initiatives, and help ensure the delivery of high-quality training services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to students, employers, and training providers to access and navigate VET and employment programs.
  • Maintaining compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements among employers, students, and training providers.
  • Coordinating and overseeing daily operations of Regional Centre staff, ensuring quality service delivery and program compliance.
  • Managing administration, reporting, and implementation of local training and employment programs.
  • Representing the department in the community, promoting initiatives and building local partnerships.
  • Undertaking occasional field work and regional travel to engage directly with stakeholders and communities.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience managing people and leading teams in an administrative or service delivery setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Innovative and self-motivated.
  • Experience with project and program management.
  • Knowledge of the VET sector, apprenticeships & traineeships and their regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
