Design Professional

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of design principles and be able to create functional and inspiring spaces. Reporting to the Design Manager, this role involves working as part of an integrated design team to develop interiors that strike a balance between creativity, functionality, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop attractive designs and layouts for various projects.
  • Meet with clients to understand their objectives, needs, and aspirations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to address project requirements.
  • Prepare presentations, including 2D/3D drawings, mock-ups, and renderings.
  • Develop detailed interior documentation, schedules, and specifications.
  • Source finishes, fittings, furniture, and prepare quotes in line with project budgets.
  • Conduct site visits to review progress and ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Stay across industry knowledge, materials, and design trends to deliver the best outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in an interior design role, ideally within the commercial, education, aged care, or hospitality sectors.
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong creative, conceptual, and communication skills.
  • Ability to confidently present to and liaison with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and workflows.
