Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Plumbing Systems: Create efficient and effective plumbing systems that meet project specifications and comply with local, national, and international codes and standards.
  • Perform Hydraulic Calculations: Conduct thorough hydraulic analysis to ensure proper water supply, drainage, and wastewater management.
  • Select Materials and Fixtures: Choose suitable materials, fixtures, and piping systems based on project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to integrate plumbing systems into building designs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Professional Certification: Holding a P.Eng certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Proven experience in plumbing system design, hydraulic analysis, and pipe sizing.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
  • Knowledge of Codes: Strong understanding of plumbing codes (e.g., IPC, NPC, ASHRAE standards).
